Are you a rocketeer?

So for those of you that know me... and I mean really know me...you are fully aware that my (all to often) fatal flaw is that I have no filter. I say what I feel, when I feel...sometimes this has proven to be an attribute, sometime a detriment. When I am tired, hungry and/or agitated this flaw is heighted. Enough context to my behavioral inadequacies...

While on a recent ride I created a new and what I feel is a very valid rule . Absolutely NO snot rockets while someone is riding behind you at any less than 3 bike lengths. In my humble opinion, it's gross and frankly, poor cycling etiquette.

On this weekend's 110 mile ride (with tired butt and stiff neck) the discussion again surfaced. My riding partner who's anonymity I will uphold blew his nose in just about everywhere...into the air, into the jersey, into the gloves. etc...In his defense - he was coming down with something. Unfortunately now, so am I. Thank God for Kick-ass Immune.

I get that in being an endurance athlete I will have to "endure" the snot rocket scenario often...I am not passing judgement and perhaps I am a bit envious as when I try to do it I end up with a booger on my shirt or my lip...who knows?

At any rate - What I really want to know is am I alone? And are you a picker, a sniffer or a snot rocketeer?
