One week was a stabilizer, so low key. Last week was a huge travel week for work...Seattle and LA, with a short layover back home on Wednesday, just in time for our latest spring snow storm. Traveling while training for IM is a challenge, but there are times when you get in workouts in places that you otherwise would not have, so that's really cool!
Highlights from a week on the road...Full Sail Slipknot Imperial IPA* and a 14 mile run on Newport Beach/Balboa Island.
While I was home on Wednesday I also got my bike fit at Boulder Center for Sports Medicine by Jason. Finally dialed in, it was way off! If you're lucky insurance will cover it...$20 co-pay for the fit...$250 in new parts...a new +17, 110mm, 26.0 stem and a Speedplay spindle kit**...ah the price of comfort.

*For more on Full Sail's Slipknot Google it and if you find it...DRINK IT FOR CHRISTSAKE...a 2008 Gold Medal Winner at the World, yes WORLD Beer Festival. YUM! World Champeen Beer!
**More on the spindle kit - Unbeknownst to me, Speedplay manufactures spindle kits for their pedals, that come in various widths in 1/4 inch increments to accommodate wider stances...how cool is that? LOVE SPEE

Also getting the nutrition dialed in...sort of! Does yesterdays' HEP-Mex Fiesta count? ... because if it does I am going to have a hard time splaining the 4 margs, 5 beers and cup o'guac!
Week 5 - bring it.
