Feel the burn...

It's hard to believe the week is more than half over...time flies when you're training for Ironman...more like time blurs together. Most days this week (thanks to daylight savings time) I have been in a groggy haze. I find it quite difficult to drag my sorry ass out of bed.

Week to date...Monday was my tempo day, 23 bike, 6 run and...lift. Eeks. It has been weeks since I lifted, it was the first thing that I ditched from my training, however, I need it...and actually love the burn.

Tuesday, OD day...19 bike and 5 run...and I'd like to recant the "I love the burn" comment from above. Tuesday was also acupuncture day for me. Good treatment, bad news...I lose Amy as my acupuncturist as the college has a six visit rule with each clinician...lame. I've even come to forgive her for leaving the needle in my keester, and my coach even seems to think that it has done something for my performance.

Wednesday, swim and yoga. I had a little swim kick breakthrough, which really did nothing for my time, but made me feel like I was moving thru the water with greater ease. The little pregnant powerhouse yoga instructor on Wednesday night, again, destroyed me...I was a sweaty, wobbly, tired puddle with burning legs.

I'll end this post with a question...what the hell does that picture (above) represent? I have my own ideas but would love to know what you might think.
