moonlit run...

For the first time, I am really feeling the toll that the miles are taking out of my legs...the last few days have been tough. Today, my stress calculator has me around -36. I'm very much looking forward to my stabilizer next week.

Sunday's power yoga blew it out...wasted me. Probably a combination of a big brick and several beers the day before. Monday's are always difficult. This week, a 24 mile OD ride, a seven mile tempo run, on the oh so windy, Water Tower Trail. I actually ran faster uphill with the wind to my back than I did downhill...which was about 2" slower a mile than usual. I ended the day with a leg workout, that left me with tired, heavy legs.

This morning I had a great trail run under the moonlit sky...when I left, I had my headlamp on and was surprised to see 2 other "gear weenies" out there with headlamps too....sweet! A solid run given how crappy my legs felt yesterday. Had a well needed massage at lunch to work out some of the kinks...Thanks Jess.

Luna had her ACL (TPLO) surgery today...According to the vet, it all went smoothly. She was so sleepy and pretty well drugged when we went to see her. Tomorrow she comes home, and the slow rehabilitation process begins...she should be in top form by CDA. Love you Lunz!
