The week began with 15 miles on the trainer...watched an episode of season 2 of Grey's Anatomy. Love that show. Since its been off the tube lately, as a result of the screenwriters strike, I feel as if my knowledge of medicine is slowly being bankrupt.
After several attempts, I finally got into Witts Clinic at SWAC ...and I now believe the hype. The man is dialed in...within a few minutes on the table the two student interns, Jessica and Katie (I think) were bleeding my toes, had 2 three inch needles in my hip (that Witt pushed farther in), one in my foot and one in my right hand, all hooked to e-stim...it felt cool, weird, therapeutic, annoying and borderline uncomfortable all at once. When I got off the table I felt fresh!
What happened next was either a result of the treatment, a fluke or a broken and mis-calibrated treadmill. I did my 5 mile run in 41 minutes, with relative ease...(low z4), which was about 30 seconds a mile faster than where I usually am. At any rate...I'll call that a good day.
Ran 4 today. Chilly, windy but sunny. Mostly z2-3. 8:40's.
Tomorrow, da baby (Luna), has her first PT appointment. She seems to progressing nicely and is well on her mischievous way back to the little devil we love so much. Thankful.

Wow - acupuncture was nuts! You had a great run and that is what is most important for you now...entering new territories (distances), nailing it and feeling good after. It's incredible with all the injuries and surgeries you have had that you are going to be an Ironman. You are my hero. xo
