Show me..."wash the windows"

Friday, after work, Kristina and I went to Highlands Ranch to take our first of what may well be many Swimlab lessons. I was horrified at what I learned...its almost a surprise that I can swim at all after a.) watching myself in the mirrors on the bottom and front of the pool and b.)especially after seeing the video... I think my first comment was "Is that really me?"

Swimming is such a "blind" sport, you totally have no clue what you look like until the video of course...and when you see it, you may be pretty surprised. My stroke looked like a cross between a really gay "how-do-you-do", a windmill and a window washer...(crossing over the center line of my body and sweeping outward in the water and a huge sweeping stroke above the water). Boy do I have work to do...It's really hard to correct things if you have no idea what you are doing compared to what you should be doing. The perspective is unreal, and without a doubt, invaluable. I cannot wait to hit the pool equipped with a little know-how and a snorkel . If you haven't ever done it, check it out...
