Going into this year's Sunrise Century I was slightly trepidatious. I knew I can do the distance but the most that I have ridden to date this season was about 60 miles. So it was mostly about how bad the additional 40 miles would suck.7,000 plus feet of climbing...this ride is about one of my favorites...epic, gorgeous, some great Colorado scenery and those Ritz crackers with cream cheese at mile 60.
The climb out of Ned, as expected, completely sucked. I got my chest hair caught in my zipper (time to manscape), which further aggravated me...but the dirt section and the decent thru Ward down Lefthand Canyon made it worth it.
